AMANDA COOKSEY

A&R Manager and Head of PR

Born and raised in Orlando, Amanda Cooksey has always had a passion for music. She started taking piano lessons at the age of six and went on to take vocal lessons and write songs shortly after. Throughout high school, Amanda played at various bars and restaurants around Florida. She was fortunate to perform at The VIP lounge at the Sounds of Summer Tour with Dierks Bentley, Kip Moore, Maddie & Tae and Canaan Smith, and open for Michael Ray in his hometown of Eustis at Boleros Cigar Bar with other talented songwriters. After high school, Amanda was accepted to Belmont University and moved to Nashville in 2014.

Since the move, Amanda graduated with a degree in Business Administration in two years. She then went back to Belmont after being accepted into their Songwriting program to further her education. During this time, Amanda met Demolition’s General Manager, Michael August, at a writer’s round. After talking about her interest in publishing and love of songwriting, she was hired on to work as an intern in 2018 and later given the position of Creative Coordinator. Amanda is currently, writing, performing, and working on her Masters in Public Relations. She was blessed to have her latest single, “Yo Mama”, land on the Pop-Co playlist on Spotify as well as Radio Disney Country.
