Jon D’Agostino shows up to every write with a fully charged laptop, killer hooks, song starts and the mission to create something that’s going to be amazing. He’s a songwriter’s writer and an award winning lyrcist who grew up in NYC with a passion for words and phrases. His influences range from The Beatles to Motown, traditional & contemporary country, R&B, classic rock, singer songwriters and pop.

Most recently, Jon co-wrote Charles Esten’s single “Make You Happy” and Riser House recording artist Dillon Carmichael’s single “If I Wasn’t Your Man”. D’Agostino is a two time finalist of the prestigious John Lennon songwriting contest, winning the $10,000 grand prize in the country category in 2015. He has had international songwriting success with “Judgement Day,” which rose to #1 on the charts for Australia’s 2019 female country vocalist of the year, Christie Lamb. He also wrote five (5) of the songs on the Mark Blomsteel album that won the country album of the year at The 2018 Dutch CMA Awards. Additionally, his song “What Love Can Do,” was recorded by Ireland’s country artist Mary Duff, who performed it in concert halls around the world. In town, Jon has had over one hundred indie cuts and wrote the title song to Sony artist, Casey James’ “Strip It Down” album. His song “I Can’t Wait to Waste A Little Time” was on the 2015 Sammy Kershaw “I Won’t Back Down” album. His song “If I Didn’t Have You” was cut by country artist, Dillion Carmichael and so far he has written at least three of the songs recorded by American Idol’s Ethan Payne. Jon also writes for film and TV. His songs have been placed in dozens of films and TV shows such as “Thin Ice,” starring Greg Kinnear, “Dark Horse,” starring Christopher Walken and most recently in the Netflix movies “Walk, Ride, Rodeo” and “Falling Inn Love.” He has had songs in Disney shows, many commercials and the series finale of “Nurse Betty.” In 2019, Jon wrote his first musical, “Every Wednesday Night,” which is debuted on stage in the summer of 2020. Jon’s songwriting attitude is simple: “Show up prepared and don’t settle for anything less than what you love.”
